JOB : System Administrator

Job Description :

Under the general supervision of a senior system administrator, you will be responsible for handling day to day operations of Windows Operating Systems. This is a direct contract to hire opportunity with AKAMAI.

Responsibilities :

• Provide Tier1/Tier2 support of windows systems.
• Provide front-line support for operational issues.
• Monitor & Respond to problems / alerts, resolve problems based on documented solutions.
• Identify & Scope problems, troubleshoot & resolve with help from Tier3 and document resolution in the form of knowledge base articles.
• Perform remote software installations; patch software/OS; troubleshoot connectivity problems.
• Perform audits of system configuration settings throughout infrastructure to ensure adherence to standards.

Eligibility to Apply :

• Any Engineering Degree or Bachelors in Computer Science with min. aggregate of 60% .
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) .

Desired Qualifications :

• System administration knowledge and interest.
• Windows scripting knowledge
• Willing to work in Global Enterprise Support.
• Knowledge on DHCP, WINS and DNS services
• Knowledge on technical troubleshooting skills for both system performance and network connectivity issues.
• Microsoft certification preferred
